Senior Biotechnologist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Biotechnologist to lead our research initiatives in sustainable insect-based protein development. The ideal candidate will have expertise in biotechnology with a focus on alternative protein sources and a passion for sustainable agriculture.

• Lead research initiatives focused on optimizing insect protein extraction and processing
• Design and conduct experiments to improve nutritional profile of insect-based feed products
• Develop innovative methods for scaling insect farming and processing operations
• Collaborate with production team to implement research findings into commercial processes
• Stay current with scientific literature and emerging technologies in the field
• Prepare research reports, scientific publications, and presentations
• Mentor junior researchers and technicians
• Contribute to grant proposals and research funding applications

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in biotechnology research, preferably in food or feed applications
• Strong background in protein extraction and characterization techniques
• Experience with insect farming or alternative protein development is highly desirable
• Proven track record of successful research project management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
